Fellow Traveller were launching their hit game Citizen Sleeper in Japan for the first time, over a year after the initial release. Their goal was to show Japanese gamers that quality localization was a high priority.
For the PR component we made sure that all top-tier media had early access to the information under embargo, choosing our editors carefully to ensure we had the best chance of success. When it came to influencers we made sure to target those who showed interest not just in narrative-driven games, but some key players in the rise of TTRPG style games locally in Japan. This yielded fantastic results with a limited budget, including being featured as Famitsu’s Indie Game of the Week.
